Social Work Caucus


The mission of the Social Work Caucus shall be to:
  1. To serve as an advocacy and advisory group for outreach of regional academic social work programs available in the organization's service area, and
  2. To serve as a catalyst for development of continuing education programs for area social workers and social service personnel, and
  3. To promote dissemination of information relating to professional growth and development, professional ethical concerns, and/or pertinent social welfare and health-related issues, and
  4. To promote the maintenance of a support network among social workers, and
  5. To strengthen interdisciplinary understanding and cooperation between social workers and other health and welfare professionals, and
  6. To strengthen linkages between area social workers and social work educational and professional social work organizations and institutions.
  7. To promote client advocacy by supporting changes in social policy, cooperative planning, service coordination and resource development, and
  8. To strengthen the role of social work by advocating for the profession of social work.

Active members of the Social Work Caucus shall fulfill the following Qualifications:

  • Individuals shall be persons who have earned a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in social work or who have received licensure as a social work associate.

Meetings:

  • Meetings occur bi-monthly for each county
