Social Work Caucus
The mission of the Social Work Caucus shall be to:
- To serve as an advocacy and advisory group for outreach of regional academic social work programs available in the organization's service area, and
- To serve as a catalyst for development of continuing education programs for area social workers and social service personnel, and
- To promote dissemination of information relating to professional growth and development, professional ethical concerns, and/or pertinent social welfare and health-related issues, and
- To promote the maintenance of a support network among social workers, and
- To strengthen interdisciplinary understanding and cooperation between social workers and other health and welfare professionals, and
- To strengthen linkages between area social workers and social work educational and professional social work organizations and institutions.
- To promote client advocacy by supporting changes in social policy, cooperative planning, service coordination and resource development, and
- To strengthen the role of social work by advocating for the profession of social work.
Active members of the Social Work Caucus shall fulfill the following Qualifications:
- Individuals shall be persons who have earned a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in social work or who have received licensure as a social work associate.
Meetings:
- Meetings occur bi-monthly for each county
