Physical Therapy Caucus

1. Provide a forum for professional communication, interchange and networking for individuals in the academic and applied fields of Physical Therapy.
2. Support and facilitate student recruitment, training and clinical education in Physical Therapy.
3. Encourage and support the attainment of professional continuing education and advanced degrees in Physical Therapy.
4. Enhance the professional standards of Physical Therapy in the area.
5. Assure liaison with the Board of Directors and other AHEC caucuses, and task forces with the other Physical Therapy-related educational and professional organizations to advocate for improved health care services in the Western Maryland region.
6. Improve community awareness of and sensitivity to PT issues and services.

Active members of the Physical Therapy Caucus shall fulfill the following Qualifications:

• Active members of the PT Caucus shall hold Registered Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure and be actively employed within healthcare(Administrator, Consultant, Education, Practitioner).
• Affiliate members of the PT Caucus shall be Physical Therapy or Physical Therapy Assistant student representatives.
• Exofficio members of the PT Caucus shall include representation from Allegany Community College's Center for Continuing Educatin adn the Western Maryland AHEC.

Meetings
