E-Preparedness Caucus


The mission of the E-Preparedness Caucus shall be to:
  1. Provide an interdisciplinary network for E-Preparedness providers.
  2. Provide a forum for professional communication, interchange and networking for individuals in the academic and applied fields of Emergency Preparedness.
  3. Support and facilitate student recruitment, training and clinical education in Emergency Preparedness.
  4. Encourage and support the attainment of continuing professional education and certification in Emergency Preparedness.
  5. Assure liaison with the Board of Directors, other AHEC caucuses, task forces, and related educational and professional organizations to advocate for improved health care services in the Western Maryland region, and improve community awareness and sensitivity to Emergency Preparedness issues and services.

Active members of the E-Preparedness Caucus shall fulfill the following Qualifications:

  • Emergency Preparedness Provider who has training and experience, is a provider of emergency services, is a licensed and credentialed health professional,
    or a Community Crisis Response Team (CCRT) member, or
  • Citizens who serve or are interested in serving in an emergency preparedness volunteer capacity.

Meetings:

  • Meetings occur quarterly in February, May, August, and November. Meetings begin at 12:00pm.
