Amy Hunter-Manuel has been working in the field of dietetics for nearly 10 years as a Registered Dietitian and a Maryland Licensed Nutritionist in all three areas of nutrition: clinical, community, and food service. She is currently working from a private practice office in Cumberland, Maryland, and in various long-term care facilities as a consultant. She holds a Master's Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Human Nutrition and Foods from West Virginia University. Some of her special areas of interest are how foods change DNA, how disordered eating and/or food addictions reflect social influence and how environmental nutrition is helping the world. Her passion is to help combat the current obesity and diabetes epidemics by uniting people to strive for the best quality of life, while being mindful of our loving Creator, and to discover the purposes they were created for. Her philosophy majors on staying positive, expressing yourself and learning how good nutrition can change your life. She is a trained host for Soaking Music Prayer Ministry and enjoys traveling.  Amy also enjoys cooking, interior decorating, dance ministry, writing, singing, and supporting Christian musicians.

If you are ready to make a change in your life or the lives of others, Amy invites you to contact her for networking, nutrition-filled recipes, advice for eating out, and other recommended resources.
