Dental Caucus
The mission of the Dental Caucus shall be to:
- Develop a program which will provide the education and training to equip the dental student with the necessary skills and knowledge to practice in rural areas.
- Interest the student in locating a general dental practice in these rural areas.
- Acquaint the student and graduate dentists with the concepts of primary health care and the various roles of the members of the health care team.
- Provide continuing education for dentists and other health professionals.
- Provide a greater understanding of dentistry and its role in primary health care for all members of the health professions.
Active members of the Dental Caucus shall fulfill the following Qualifications:
- Individuals should be licensed dentists in the Western Maryland region who are interested in professional development for dentistry and the health professions.
Meetings:
Meetings occur as needed, discussion is often at CE events and Allegany/Garrett Dental Society meetings.
