Web-
and Bibliographies
Many
thanks to Beth Wescott of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine,
Southeastern/Atlantic Region, who compiled these Web- and Bibliographies.
Best
Practices Webliography - Text
file
- Resources
in the full (text) file encompass practices for on-the-job training,
for successful academic achievement, for seeking health care and health
information, and for communicating information and needs to peers and
others. Examples have been drawn from life, from interpersonal experiences
common to families in the United States as they seek to improve themselves,
theirs and their children's education, their workplaces, neighborhoods,
institutions, communications, relationships, and health. For workplace
best practices, much of the direction and many success stories come
from benchmarking ventures. These have been collected here as well.
- The
HTML file will include resources selected from the full text file that
are especially relevant to librarians and health information providers
while working with patrons.
Critical
Thinking Webliography -
Text file; HTML file (These
files differ--see description below)
- These
resources help learners identify the "parts" of their thinking.
Using exercises and lessons collected here, leaders can help learners
assess their use of these "parts" of thinking. Also included
is the area of of critical thinking and information literacy.
- The
full text file includes
resources drawn from course curricula, from texts, from online exhibits
and exercises, from catalog listings and from centers for critical thinking.
They are organized by user level and then by topics.
- The
HTML file includes resources selected from the
full text file that are especially relevant to librarians and health
information providers while working with patrons.
