AARP Webplace
AARP serves the needs of seniors through information and education, advocacy, and community services.

Administration on Aging
The AOA's web site includes information designed for Older Americans and their families as well as those concerned about providing the opportunities and services to enrich the lives of older persons and support their independence.

Age of Reason
Age of Reason is a general interest web site that caters specifically to seniors. It provides its viewers with resources such as a discussion forum, a bulletin board, and even a matching service.

Alzheimer's Disease Education and Referral (ADEAR) Center
This site contains information about Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. It contains links to: Alzheimer's Disease publications, other federal resources, a bibliographic database, clinical trails database, and a calendar of events pertaining to Alzheimer's conferences.

American Geriatrics Society
The AGS promotes high quality, comprehensive and accessible care for America's older population, including those who are chronically ill and disabled. FamilyDoctor.org is an informational source provided by the American Academy of Family Physician. This page is a list of elder related health conditions. From there you can get detailed information on the symptoms, diagnosing , and self-care treatment for each condition.

FIRSTGOV for Seniors was designed to be a central hub from which seniors can get information on a number of departments including computer, health and consumer protection among others.

Healthfinder
Healthfinder was developed by the Department of Health and Human Services to provide users with a way to access many online informational resources. These resources consist of databases, online publications, Web Sites and clearinghouses.

Maryland Department of Aging
The Department of Aging oversees the delivery of programs, services and benefits through Maryland's network of nineteen local Area Agencies on Aging.

National Archive of Computerized Data on Aging
NACDA acts to preserve and make available the U.S.'s largest library of electronic data on aging.

NeedyMeds.com
NeedyMeds is an information source that provides information on patient rights and assistance programs that help people pay for their medication if they unable to afford it.

Resource Directory for Older People
The Resource Directory for Older People is intended to serve a wide audience including older people and their families, health and legal professionals, social service providers, librarians,researchers, and others with an interest in the field of aging. The directory contains names, addresses, phone numbers, and fax numbers of organizations which provide information and other resources on matters relevant to the needs of older persons.

Rural Elderly Information Resources

This list was put together by the Rural Information Center Health Service to provide seniors with easy access to electronic resources. The site contains links to publications, organizational web sites, clearinghouses, online databases, among other resources.

SAILOR, Maryland's Public Information Network
Sailor is a project of the Maryland Public Libraries, featuring a web site focused on Maryland information, and a statewide, Internet Protocol based network providing access to the Internet for the libraries, government agencies, schools and the citizens of Maryland. This section of their web site provides links to care organizations, public health services, disease and treatment oriented sites among others.

Provides seniors with access to and education about computer technology and the Internet.

SeniorSite.com
A general information site, SeniorSite.com provides several informational resources ranging from retirement issues to entertainment. An "Ask The Experts section", gives users the ability to e-mail people with a background in a specialized topic.

State of Maryland Department of Health & Mental Health
This site provides links to the web pages for organizations within the DHMH and provides other informational resources and press releases.

WidowNet
WidowNet provides information on several topics geared toward widows and widowers. Some of the resources include links to self-help sites, support groups, and consumer information.
